A delivery order is an ordinary sale with four extra details: where it goes, when it goes, what the card says and what the delivery costs. In GetFloristPOS you take all of it on one screen in Sell, and the order then appears on the van sheet for its date and slot. Once you have done it twice it takes under three minutes, phone in one hand.

Before you start

  • Delivery is enabled for your location and your zones, fees and time slots are set up.
  • The register is open for the day.
  • From the customer: their name and phone number, the recipient’s name, address and phone number, the day and window they want, and the card wording.

Steps

  1. Open Sell and choose the customer. Go to Sell (the point of sale screen). Search the customer by phone number or name. If they are new, add them with Add contact; it saves them to Contacts for occasion reminders and reward points later.

  2. Add the products and add-ons. Tap the bouquet, choose its size (standard, deluxe or premium), then add extras like a vase, chocolates or a balloon. Custom work priced from a recipe is added the same way.

  3. Mark the sale as a delivery. Open the shipping or delivery option on the sale. This adds the delivery address, delivery charge and status to the order.

  4. Enter the recipient’s address and zone. Type the recipient’s name, full address and phone number, then choose the delivery zone. The zone fee is added to the total automatically. Add driver notes such as “ring bell twice” or “leave with reception”.

  5. Pick the delivery date and time slot. Fill in the “Delivery date” and choose a “Time slot”. Before confirming a busy window, check how many orders are already booked into it in Sell → Shipments.

  6. Type the card message. Enter the enclosure card wording exactly as the customer says it, including the sign-off. Read it back to them. It prints on the work ticket for the designer.

  7. Take payment and print the tickets. Choose the payment method (card through your processor, cash, gift card or a local method like JazzCash or Easypaisa) and finalize. Print the customer receipt and the work ticket for the workroom.

  8. Update the status as it moves. As the order progresses, change its status in Shipments: ordered, packed, shipped (out with the driver) and delivered. Anyone answering the phone can then tell a customer where their flowers are.

Common problems

The delivery fee is missing

No zone was chosen, or shipping charges are off for the location. Edit the sale and pick the zone.

The order is not on the van sheet

The van sheet is filtered by date and slot. Check the order’s delivery date; a common slip is booking today’s date by default.

The customer wants to change the slot

Edit the sale, change the time slot and save. If you have printed the van sheet, reprint it.

The card message got cut off

Long messages may wrap differently on the ticket. Check the preview and shorten line breaks if needed.

FAQ

Can the person paying be different from the recipient?

Yes, and usually is. The sale stays on the sender's customer record, while the recipient's name and address go in the delivery details.

Can I take a delivery order without payment?

Yes. Save it as a draft or record it unpaid, and take payment later. For event-size orders, take a deposit and set a balance due date instead.

How do drivers see their deliveries?

Filter Shipments by date and slot and print the list as the van sheet. Drivers on the mobile app can view their deliveries and update the status.

Do phone orders work the same way?

Yes. Phone, walk-in and web orders all use the same delivery fields, so the van sheet shows every order for the slot in one list.
