Event & wedding orders

Weddings and events are booked months ahead and paid in parts. GetFloristPOS holds the deposit against the event, tracks every change, reminds the balance and puts the install on the van sheet.

What goes wrong with event deposits on paper?

The deposit is in the bank, the change is in an email, the balance date is in someone’s head. When the couple asks “what do we still owe?”, three people give three answers. An event order keeps one number, with the history behind it.

  • Piece-by-piece quote from your recipes
  • Deposit held as advance balance on the order
  • Change orders that update the balance due
  • Balance reminders and receipts in the customer’s language

  1. Consultation → quotation

Build the quote piece by piece from recipes: bridal bouquet, buttonholes, ceremony arch, centrepieces, stage décor. Send it from the order.

FAQ

How does wedding florist deposit software work?

You book the wedding as an event order with its date, venue and design lines, take a deposit that is held as an advance balance on that order, and set the date the balance is due. GetFloristPOS shows what has been paid and what is outstanding at all times and sends reminders before the balance date.

Can I take several payments before the event?

Yes. Record as many part-payments as you agree: deposit, a mid-point payment and the final balance. Each is dated and receipted, and the order always shows the remaining amount.

What happens if the couple changes the order?

Edit the event order. Added or removed pieces update the total and the balance due, and a dated note records the change. If you send a revised quotation, the customer sees exactly what changed.

Can I reserve stock for an event months ahead?

You can see event needs in the order book and plan purchases for that week from them. Fresh stems are bought close to the date, so the system helps you buy the right quantities rather than holding stock for months.

Does it handle Pakistani wedding events like mehndi and barat?

Yes. Treat each function (mehndi, barat, walima) as its own event order or as lines within one booking, each with its own date, venue and décor pieces, and a shared advance. Receipts can print in Urdu.

Can I keep contracts and notes on the order?

Yes. Attach your signed agreement or design sketches and keep notes on the order. Contract terms themselves are yours; we don’t provide legal templates. See our guide to wedding deposits for common practice.

Are deposits refundable?

That is your policy, not ours. Put your cancellation and refund terms on the quotation. If you refund, record it on the order so the ledger stays correct.

Which plans include event orders?

Event and wedding orders with deposits and balance-due dates are in Bloom and Garden.
