Delivering flowers in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi spreads from the main island across bridges to Yas, Saadiyat, Al Reem and the mainland communities of Khalifa City and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, so a single shop's deliveries can cover long distances. The emirate's Onwani system gives buildings a number and blue address plate, but most customers still describe a building, a sector or a landmark. Government offices, embassies and palaces have their own access rules. In GetFloristPOS, set zones for the island, the bridge islands and the mainland, with longer slots and higher fees for the far zones, and keep Onwani and gate notes on each order.

The flower trade in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi florists draw on the same import chain as the rest of the UAE: stems flown from the Netherlands, Kenya, South America and India, mostly through the Dubai Flower Centre, then trucked to wholesalers who deliver to the capital.

As the federal capital, Abu Dhabi has a large share of government, embassy, hotel and corporate customers, which means more purchase orders, invoices and recurring arrangements than in a pure walk-in market.

Emirati families are a large part of the customer base, with weddings, new-baby celebrations and Eid visits that call for grand arrangements and Arabic paperwork. Shops compete with Dubai-based delivery platforms that also serve the capital.

FAQ

Can I charge differently for Yas or Khalifa City?

Yes. Each zone has its own delivery fee and can have its own slot length and same-day cutoff.

Can I add an Onwani number to an address?

Yes. Each delivery has fields for the Onwani number, building, landmark and access notes.

Our government clients need purchase orders on invoices. Is that possible?

Yes. Add the PO number to the order, and the invoice layout prints it with your TRN and the VAT amount.

Can the whole system run in Arabic?

Yes. Staff can use the interface in Arabic, and receipts and invoices can be printed in Arabic or English.

Can I set up weekly arrangements for an office or hotel?

Yes. A recurring order creates the delivery each week, ready to make and schedule.

How do I handle a large Emirati wedding?

Create an event order with the full quote, take the deposit, set the balance-due date, and keep venue and timing notes on it.

Can I log stems that wilted before sale?

Yes. Record them as a waste adjustment against the lot, so your stock and margins stay honest.

Is there a contract?
