The local flower trade
Pakistan grows most of its own roses, marigolds (genda) and jasmine (motia). Pattoki, in Kasur district of Punjab, is known as the country's flower capital, with rose fields and nurseries around it and a large flower market that supplies the rest of the country.
Each big city has a wholesale flower market. Karachi's main one is at Teen Hatti, supplied daily from Pattoki and from growers in Sindh around Hyderabad. Imported stems such as lilies, tulips and some rose varieties are a smaller, premium part of the trade.
Shops range from flower stalls selling petals, garlands and gajray by weight or piece, to bouquet shops doing deliveries, to décor companies that build entire mehndi and barat stages. Many do all three, and almost all take orders on WhatsApp.
Delivery here
Pakistani addresses are often descriptive: a house number, block or sector, a nearby landmark and a phone number to call on arrival. Most bouquet orders come by WhatsApp or phone, many same-day, and riders deliver by motorbike. Large wedding orders are not deliveries so much as installations, with a team setting up stage and entrance décor at a hall or marquee. In GetFloristPOS, each order keeps the address, landmark and recipient phone, bouquet orders get time slots, and event orders get a set-up time and site notes.

What florists tell us
Sample These are illustrative sample reviews, written to show the kind of feedback we design for. Real reviews replace them once shops are live.
“Shaadi season used to be a notebook of advances. Each mehndi and barat booking now shows what was paid, what's due, and when. Customers get an Urdu receipt.”
“Roses move from the Clifton shop to DHA when one runs short, and I see all three tills from home. JazzCash and cash sit on the same report.”
“The week before Valentine's we stopped promising 'sometime Saturday'. Each slot fills up, closes itself, and the van sheet for the 10 to 12 run prints in street order.”
“Half our orders still arrive on WhatsApp. Now they go straight into the order book with the slot and the card message, and the invoice shows VAT the way our accountant wants.”
FAQ
Are prices in rupees?
Yes. Pakistan plans are priced in PKR plus applicable sales tax. See pricing for the current amounts.
Can receipts be printed in Urdu?
Yes. Receipts and invoices can be printed in Urdu or English, and staff can use the interface in Urdu.
Do you support JazzCash and Easypaisa?
Yes. They are set up as payment methods, so each sale records how the customer paid.
Can I sell rose petals by the kilo and garlands by the piece?
Yes. Each product can have its own unit, such as kilogram, bunch, piece or garland.
Can I take an advance for a mehndi stage?
Yes. An event order records the advance, the balance and the date it is due, and reminds you before the function.
Most of my orders come on WhatsApp. Will this help?
Yes. Enter each order with its delivery time or set-up time, and it lands in the day's sheet instead of a chat history.
Does it need a fast internet connection?
It runs in a browser and works on a normal mobile or broadband connection; a backup mobile data connection is sensible.
Which cities do you have local guides for?
Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, each with its own notes on peaks, markets and delivery.
