GetFloristPOS lets each location print receipts and invoices in English, Arabic, Urdu or Spanish, with prices in USD, AED or PKR. You set the currency and tax rules for your business once, then create an invoice layout per language and assign it to the shop that needs it. A Dubai shop can show prices with 5% VAT included on an Arabic receipt, while a Lahore shop prints in Urdu with rupees.
Before you start
- You have admin rights.
- You know the tax rules for your market. This guide shows where to set them; it is not tax advice, so confirm rates with your accountant.
- Your business locations are added. See Add your shop location.
Steps
- Set your business currency. Go to Settings → Business settings → Business and choose the currency: USD for the US, AED for the UAE, or PKR for Pakistan. Set the currency symbol position and the number of decimal places you want on receipts.
- Set up tax rates for your market. Go to Settings → Tax rates → Add. In the UAE, add “VAT 5%”. In the US, add your state and local sales tax rates and, if needed, combine them into a Tax group. In Pakistan, add the sales tax rate that applies to your business.
- Choose prices inclusive or exclusive of tax. In Settings → Business settings → Tax, choose whether selling prices include tax. UAE shops usually set prices inclusive, so a bouquet priced at 250 AED costs the customer 250 AED. US shops usually set them exclusive, with sales tax added at checkout.
- Create an invoice layout in your language. Go to Settings → Invoice settings → Invoice layouts → Add. Choose the language and edit each label, such as “Total”, “Tax”, “Delivery date” and “Card message”, in English, Arabic, Urdu or Spanish. Add your logo, address and tax registration number if you have one.
- Assign the layout to a location. Go to Settings → Business locations, edit the shop, and pick the new invoice layout and receipt printer. Each location can have its own layout and language.
- Print a test receipt. Go to Sell → POS, ring up a test sale and print it. Check that the language, currency symbol, tax line and right-to-left layout (for Arabic and Urdu) look right, then void the test sale.
Common problems
Arabic or Urdu text prints as boxes
The receipt printer font does not support the script. Print in browser mode instead of raw text, or ask support which printer settings work with your model.
Tax is added twice
Prices are set as inclusive and the tax is also being added on top. Check the inclusive setting and the tax on each product.
The interface is in one language but receipts should be another
The interface language is set per user in their profile; the receipt language comes from the invoice layout. Change the layout, not the user language.
